Summary: Yet another "Angel comes and gets newly souled Spike in S7" fic.

 

“He’s in here,” Xander says, pushing the door open, “Buffy would have been here but she’s busy with the potentials.”
“It’s alright. I understand,” Angel says, stepping into the room. 

 

He’s there, right where Xander said he would be, curled up on the bed, crying and whimpering and trembling with fear. 

 

“Hey, Spike,” Angel says, crouching down next to the bed.

“Angel?” 

“Yeah, it’s me. I’m going to take you away, now. Alright?” 

Spike nods slightly, still crying a little, but less, now. 

“Good,” Angel says, scooping up Spike. 

“You sure you can handle him?”
“I’m sure, Xander. I’m sure.”
